We packed everyone up in the LC and headed out to Golden Gate Park to visit the new Academy of Science in SF. A rainforest, aquarium, living roof, planetarium...super fun! A must see if you're ever in the area!

So off to Cha-am we went...her favorite! We are a family of Thai food lovers so Cha-am rocked! We got our favorite usuals, the waiters got Savannah to smile (who was sitting so quietly in her chair!!!), the ice cream cake was delicious (we've been having a lot of ice cream cake lately...must cut back)...then came the Happy Birthday gong. What is that you may ask?

Someone once said..."Times fun when you're having flies!" Time sure has flown by since Savannah entered our universe (except for maybe those sleepless first couple months...but we won't go into that). They weren't kidding when they said that life seems to accelerate when you have kids. Even though you take it day by day...watching Savannah grow like a weed really makes you think about taking advantage of every moment...everyday. So here she is...7 months in all her glory! Nope...no teeth yet...but she is more vibrant everyday. And boy...she is sure talkative in that baby babble sort of way!

Well...after recommendations...she has an Exersaucer! A what?! Well, as much as she LOVES her swing, there wasn't much to stimulate her or strengthen her trunk and leg muscles (as we medical folks say! :) So...the Exersaucer has come to be her "personal trainer!" At first she hung on for dear life because it teeter tauters. But...she starting to get the hang of it!

5 months already! Our little Savannah is babbling, trying to flip over and sticks everything...we mean everything in her mouth! :) She's a really good baby...she's very smiley, loves to see the world around her and loves to get on Skype with Grandma and Grandpa Marlow! Only 5 months old and already video conferencing :) We're waiting for the teething days...but for now...things are a lot of fun! We love that she is still sleeping 10-12 hours a night! She's trying a new food taste every week and she's not picky...so far! She loves cereal, squash, carrots, pears, apples, bananas...even her daily vitamins! We feel very blessed to have such a beautiful, healthy girl :)

Savannah's First Thanksgiving

For Thanksgiving 2008, we flew to Oklahoma City to visit Brad's Family and to introduce our "Little Britches" to the Marlow Clan. Savannah's first flight was quite the experience, but it was overall tolerable thanks to Daddy Brad who lovingly changed Savannah's dirty "dipes" on the poorly equiped Southwest airplane. Note to Southwest...ya need changing stations! But we survived thank the Lord! Thank you also to all the men (no women) who chose to sit next to us and our baby...there are nice, understanding men out there after all! :)

It was nice to see Mom and Dad Marlow again and show them how big Savannah has grown in the 3 months since they had seen her. The house was already beautifully decorated for Christmas and we had a great time.

Wow! Another month has gone by and now Savannah is 3 months old! Just in the past week or so Savannah has been able to hold her head up on her own and interact more. Savannah cries less and is less fussy. She's able to sooth herself better and sleeps really well to her parent's delight :) If we can only knock out that one nightly feeding .... :) We've gotten a new BOB stroller so now she goes out on her daily walk around the golf course to get some fresh air. We time her walk so it coincides with her morning nap that way her cries don't echo around Hiddenbrooke! :) We can't believe 3 months has already come and gone!

12 weeks...she can hold her head up on her own! Baby steps right?! Now she can face out in her Baby Bjorn, she can sit on Mamma's lap facing out...the world has just become a step bigger for Savannah :) We can't get over how much she grows everyday! One of our favorite things about bath-time is seeing Savannah's curls come out. We can't get over it! It's dark like mom's but curly like dad's! It's fun to puff it out and see how curly it can get :) No matter how fussy she gets...when bath-time comes around...Savannah loves her time in the water! It's strange...you can get water in her eyes, jostle her around in the tub to get her clean, move all her chubby folds to scrub her down...and she doesn't mind a bit...but change her clothes...it's like pulling teeth! Oh Savannah :)

We're having a much easier time getting Savannah to sleep now! She's so at peace with Daddy that all he has to do is hold her around her bedtime and she starts to get drowsy. This afternoon we took a trip to Larry's Pumpkin Patch! It was a clear, autumn day, and it was Savannah's first ever trip to see the big orange squashes :) There were tons to choose from and we can't wait until Savannah can run around and pick one out herself! We ended up choosing 2 big round orange ones, 1 Cinderella looking reddish-orange flatish one, a big spotted green apple looking one and small orange, yellow and white ones! It was a successful trip to the Pumpkin Patch!

Savannah had her baby dedication this Sabbath surrounded by family and our church family. Pastor Jon's prayer for her was heartfelt and you could feel the love in the sanctuary. Both sets of grandparents showed their support! It is our prayer that Savannah grows spiritually and feels the love of God daily.

Savannah, at almost 3 weeks of age, went to her first wedding! And...it was absolutely beautiful! We want to congratulate Thao and Andrew on their marriage...and for having one of the most magical weddings we've ever been to! The atmosphere was filled with love and warmth, they were surrounded by all the people who loved them most, the ceremony heartfelt, the bride absolutely radiant, the groom proud and handsome, the food exceptional, the atmosphere magical. Saturday night, just a few of our family members came over to meet Savannah :) She met her great-grandma and grandpa (Abigail's mom's parents) and they fell in love with her just like we have!

August 15 was our 4 year wedding anniversary...AND it was also Mike Schulte's birthday! We love Mike and Laura, not only because they introduced us to each other (thanks guys!), but they are a sweet couple that we've had tons of memories with...school, each other's weddings, kids...you name it! Just a couple of pictures of Savannah at almost 3 days old...I finally caught a smile :) We had our first newborn appointment today for Savannah...Brad and I are learning to get ready earlier and give ourselves extra time if we need to go somewhere! Baby...check, carseat...check, diaper bag...check :) We learned some good tips on raising a newborn...and she is very healthy!...well...we also see that she has very healthy lungs....Waaahh...wahhh!

We can't wait until Grandma and Grandpa Marlow come to see their first grandchild in a couple weeks! Grandma Marlow made the most beautiful crib set for Savannah...pictures will be posted soon!

After 2 days at the hospital...she's home! Surrounded by family...she finally was content enough to sleep...for a few minutes! She's a night owl...which Brad says she gets from her Villar side of the family :) Thank goodness for family who is willing to help out and help us get a few minutes of shut eye! Catching some daytime sleep with Uncle Demetrio and Auntie Angela! She loves to sleep with her dukes up!

A huge Thank You to the Kaiser Martinez Physical Therapy department for throwing us a fun and absolutely delicious baby shower for the soon-to-be-here baby! They had the room decorated so beautifully with pink balloons, cute flower decorations, and super yummy food. Plus, these super women did it all on their lunch break...how thoughtful! Thank you so much!
